The Data Disclosure Program Manager will manage the development and implementation of processes in support of the DDOC charge and will serve as the Assistant Secretary for DDOC. The incumbent will be a subject matter expert on HIPAA and related Mayo Clinic policies regarding risks associated with Business Associate Agreements, Data Use Agreements, Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), de-identification requirements, as well as risks related to disclosing patient data that has Intellectual Property (IP) value, personnel information, and/or student information.
Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in legal, contracting, operations management, audit, project management, information security, compliance, or a related field. Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor Degree is preferred.
Working knowledge of Mayo governance and committee structures. Demonstrated performance in customer service and responding to requests in a timely and effective manner. Understanding of information security standards such as NIST and HIPAA Security Rule. Ability to effectively influence and participate in multi-disciplinary workgroups. Willingness to assist staff with questions and process issues. Demonstrated interpersonal skills for problem solving. Familiarity with issues related to contracts. Ability to receive and respond to complaints with conflict negotiation and crisis intervention skills. Able to function objectively in stressful situations, work autonomously, and “think on one’s feet”. Ability to participate in development and implementation of effective processes is essential
License or certification
Preferred certifications: CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance-HCCA), CHPC (Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance-HCCA), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner-ACFE), HCISPP (Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner-ISC2), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional-ISC2), CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional-IAPP), CHPS (Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security-AHIMA)

M-F, daytime hours.
